Cognovo recruits EML to ignite an industry rethink of mobile phone design
News >Cognovo
EML has been appointed by Cognovo to launch the company, its first product and to promote the strength of its technology proposition to the world’s leading mobile phone makers in Europe, the US and Asia.
EML’s campaign will help to educate the market about Cognovo’s software-designed approach which enables phone manufacturers to halve the cost and time it takes to develop the baseband modem at the heart of future 4G or LTE mobile phones.
As a spin-out of ARM with a strong TTPCom heritage, Cognovo combines 10 years of processor expertise alongside 15 years of cellular handset market experience. The company was founded in 2009 by a former TTPCom executive team and strengthened by the spin-out of ARM’s Ardbeg Vector Signal Processor activity. It has offices in Cambridge, UK, and Leuven, Belgium, and operates globally.
Richard Fry of Cognovo stated that "EML was our PR company of choice because the team clearly understands the markets we’re selling in to, the technology we’ve developed and have some very creative and proven PR ideas and tools to help us establish the Cognovo name in the marketplace"
EML Director, David Marsden, heads up the team, utilising his wealth of experience of PR for companies targeting the global handset market, plus his hands-on experience in Asian markets.
